Accounts Payable Auckland

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and focused Accounts Payable Officer for an immediate start in a permanent, full time position.

This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate and grow your accounting skills in a dynamic and engaging team. We are a well established, growing NZ owned company who are the leaders within our industry through our reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and value. 

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responsible for the Full Accounts Payable function for our largest suppliers with lots of complexity.
  • Reconciliations. 
  • Monthly / Quarterly Reporting Preparation.
  • Compile quarterly reporting to send to the accountant.
  • Ability to solve various complex queries from customers, internal and external. 

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and experience:

  • Proven accounting experience (3+Years).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisation skills required.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and very organised.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Attentive with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines.

Senior QS - Claims Manager Position Auckland

Job Description:

To work with the QS team and manage the claims process in accordance with best practice and within boundaries of specific conditions of contract including:

  • Manage QS team through variations and claims process as required.
  • Revising company claim preparation with each QS to ensure correct process, description and cost will be forwarded.
  • Quality claim handling throughout the claim life cycle.
  • To be responsible for and manage the claim resolution process.
  • To prepare a monthly claim status report for management.
  • Manage any claim dispute process.
  • Prepare and submit claims directly. 
  • Liaise closely with company clients.
  • Ensure proper claim assistance is given from project engineers and supervisors.
  • Work closely with the commercial manager on all aspects of the claim role.
  • Some involvement in other QS work function is required. 

 

To be considered for this role you will have the following attributes:

  • Experience working within the commercial construction industry in a claim related aspect.
  • Good understanding of the common conditions of contract used in the commercial construction industry. 
  • Tertiary qualified.
  • Good relationship builder.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with Windows office suite.
  • Ability to effectively work with and manage other team members.
  • Experience in general QS functions - measuring, estimating, payment claims and the like.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Wellington

Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are looking for a trade qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our very busy workshop based in Wellington.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring to carry out ongoing vehicle, truck, plant and equipment servicing and preventative maintenance as and when required.
  • Ensuring to visually inspect all vehicles, trucks, plant and equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensuring to order parts as and when required.
  • Managing the receipts of parts and checking pricing of parts.
  • Ensuring to maintain and implement ongoing records for servicing and maintenance.
  • Creating and managing maintenance programs for all the Plant and Equipment of the Company as and when required.
  • Ensure to oversee any 3rd party repairs as required from time to time.
  • Maintain all equipment and tools in good working order and repair and store correctly.

What we would need from you:

  • Qualification with 3 years’ experience (including apprenticeship).
  • Fitting and welding experience would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience of commercial vehicle including plant and equipment servicing.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Hard working, cool under pressure and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy workshop.
  • Experience with working on Heavy Machinery and Equipment including but not limited to Telehandlers, Laser screeds, Class 2, 4 & 5 trucks, Hiab trucks, Concrete pumps etc.

  • At least 3+ years experience.
  • Must have a Class 2, 4 (5 desirable) to deliver and manage plan and equipment on site.

  • A disciplined, self-motivated person with effective time management skills. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team with great interpersonal skills.

 The successful applicant will also assist with the erection of equipment on site as and when required. This is a very busy role, with no two days the same.
